I recently moved from my house into a condo with my Fiance. Now without a garage or back yard to store my boats, I needed to come up with something that would allow me to easily roll them in and out of a 3 foot corridor in my 10 by 20 storage garage. I spend about $30 making this simple dolly. It works well, but I would like to stiffen the bottom up and add larger wheels to make moving it easier. I was limited in my selection of screws, so I bought T and L shaped brackets to reinforce the standing frame. The bottom is 1/2" ply, with a 2x4 frame on the bottom which I attached swivel casters to. I had only a circular saw, tape measure, and a drill for this project but I think it came together well, on budget and quickly so I can't complain!
I think the pictures explain the process, but if you have any questions, drop me a line.
